Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about how we work — simple, honest, and straight to the point.
๐ฌ What areas do you cover?
We’re based in Rotherham and cover Rotherham, Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, and surrounding South Yorkshire areas.
If you’re unsure whether we can help, just send your postcode and we’ll confirm.
๐ What types of clearances do you offer?
We carry out:
-
Full and part house clearances
 -
Bereavement and probate clearances
 -
Hoarder and extreme clearances
 -
Garage, shed, loft and outbuilding clearances
No job too big or small — we handle it all.
๐งน Do I need to pack or sort anything before you arrive?
No, that’s what we’re here for.
We sort everything on-site into categories — items to keep, donate, recycle, and dispose of responsibly.
You don’t need to lift a thing.
๐ท How do you price a clearance?
Our pricing is based on:
-
Volume of items to be cleared
 -
Labour time required to load and sort
 -
Access and disposal costs

We’ll usually ask for a few photos or arrange a quick visit before giving a quote.
Good-quality reusable items can reduce your cost through our Pass It On Project.
โ๏ธ Are you licensed to remove waste?
Yes. We hold a full Waste Carrier Licence (CBDU577314), and every clearance is handled in line with environmental regulations.
Everything is disposed of legally and ethically.
โป๏ธ What happens to the items you remove?
Anything in good condition is sorted and reused through our Pass It On Project — donated or sold affordably to help local families and charities.
Only what truly can’t be reused is sent for recycling or responsible disposal.
๐ Do you charge extra for certain items?
Yes — some items require specialist disposal and carry an extra charge:
-
Fridges / Freezers
 -
TVs or computer monitors
 -
Mattresses
 -
Upholstered furniture (POPs waste — due to fire safety & environmental regulations)
 -
Paint, oil, or chemicals

We’ll always point this out before the job — no hidden fees, ever.
๐ How do you handle bereavement or probate clearances?
With compassion and respect.
We understand it’s a difficult time, so we handle everything quietly and keep sentimental or personal items safe for the family.
We can also work directly with estate agents or solicitors if needed.
๐ How soon can you start?
Usually within a few days — sometimes sooner if we’re already in your area.
We always try to be flexible around your schedule.
๐ What is the Pass It On Project?
Our Pass It On Project is a community reuse scheme where we give a second life to items cleared from homes.
We sell and donate usable goods to help local families furnish homes affordably and to raise funds for independent South Yorkshire charities.
We’ve even dedicated Mondays to collecting items directly for charity shops as part of our Pass It On Mondays mission.
๐ How do I get a quote?
Simply send a few photos of the items or rooms on WhatsApp (07840 590161).
We’ll give you a free, no-obligation quote and arrange a time that suits you.
๐งพ Are you insured?
Yes — we’re fully insured for all clearance work, including public liability.
You and your property are always protected.
๐ช Can you handle heavy or awkward items?
Absolutely.
From wardrobes and appliances to garden waste or old machinery — our team has the equipment and experience to handle it safely.
