What we clear

House clearance for every kind of home, across South Yorkshire

A whole house or one room, a family home or a rental. Each one is sorted before it is cleared.

Full house clearance

For families, landlords and estate agents who need a property emptied.

Everything in the property is removed. Before it goes, we sort it: things to keep, things to pass on, things to recycle. The rooms are left tidy and swept, ready to sell, let or renovate.

  • Every room, loft to garage
  • Sorted before it is moved
  • Clearances from £250

Bereavement and probate clearance

For families, executors and solicitors after someone has died.

We work quietly and take our time over the personal things. Photographs, paperwork and sentimental items are put to one side for the family. We can work directly with your solicitor or estate agent, and if you need the property checked and recorded first, that is what Probate Assist is for.

  • Personal items kept safe
  • We can deal with the solicitor
  • Quoted individually, free of charge

A very full home

For homes where things have built up over many years.

Discreet help, and nobody judging. We work room by room with care, sorting as we go, and what can be reused or recycled still is. Each of these homes is different, so each is quoted on its own after a visit.

  • Discreet and confidential
  • Sorted, not just emptied
  • Quoted after a visit

Garage, shed and loft

For the places things get put and forgotten.

Garages, sheds, lofts and outbuildings cleared and sorted, including the tools, tins and boxes nobody has looked at in years. Anything that needs special disposal is handled properly.

Part clearances and single heavy items

When it is one room, or one thing you can't move.

We take part loads too. Wardrobes, appliances, garden waste and old machinery are all things we move, and we bring what is needed to do it safely.

  • One room or several
  • Heavy and awkward items
  • No job too small

What to expect

The day of your clearance, step by step

Booking a clearance can feel like a lot. This is everything that happens, in order.

  1. 1

    Arrival and walk-through

We arrive at the agreed time and introduce ourselves. If you are there, we walk through together: you show us what needs clearing and tell us anything we should know. If you can't be there, we do the same by video or from your written instructions.

  2. 2

    Sorting

Everything is sorted into four groups. Reusable things to pass on. Things that can be recycled. Waste. And personal or sentimental items, which are kept safely to one side.

  3. 3

    Carrying and loading

We load the van carefully. All the lifting and carrying is ours, so you don't need to help.

  4. 4

    Proper disposal

Waste goes to a licensed site. It is never dumped or burned. We are a registered waste carrier, CBDU577314, and you can check that on the Environment Agency register.

  5. 5

    Tidying up

The cleared rooms are left tidy and swept through.

  6. 6

    Payment

Payment is due on the day unless we have agreed otherwise. Bank transfer, cash or online.

  7. 7

    Afterwards

Documents, photographs and sentimental things found during the clearance are kept safe for you to collect. If you need more help once the house is empty, ask and I'll advise.

Five things that cost a little extra, and why

Most of a home is covered by the price. These five need special disposal, so I point them out before the job.

How pricing works
  • Fridges and freezers

The gas has to be removed before they can be recycled.

  • TVs and computer monitors

They are classed as hazardous electrical waste.

  • Mattresses

There is a recycling charge on each one.

  • Upholstered sofas and chairs

Fire safety rules now set how these must be disposed of.

  • Paint, oil and chemicals

They can only go through a licensed facility.

More about the work

Not here? Add it to your quote request.

Can you take heavy or awkward items?

Yes. Wardrobes, appliances, garden waste and old machinery are all things we move. We have the equipment to do it safely.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Rotherham and cover Rotherham, Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, Worksop and the surrounding areas. If you are not sure, send your postcode and I'll tell you.

Are you licensed to take waste away?

Yes. We hold an upper tier waste carrier registration, number CBDU577314. You can look it up on the Environment Agency's public register.

What if there are things I want to keep?

Tell us at the walk-through, or beforehand in a message. They are put to one side before anything else is moved. Personal papers, photographs and sentimental things are kept back for you even if you did not mention them.

I'll come back with a price, and a date that suits you.
