It depends on what is in the house, not the size of it
A four bed house could have only ten items to clear, and a smaller house could be completely full. So there is one starting price, and every job is quoted individually after photos or a visit.

What can change the price

A little less
If the house has good furniture, collectables or homeware that can be reused or passed on, I tell you and reduce the quote.
A little extra
Fridges and freezers
The gas has to be removed before they can be recycled.
TVs and computer monitors
They are classed as hazardous electrical waste.
Mattresses
There is a recycling charge on each one.
Upholstered sofas and chairs
Fire safety rules now set how these must be disposed of.
Paint, oil and chemicals
They can only go through a licensed facility.

How do you price a clearance?
Clearances start from £250, and every job is quoted individually. The price is based on the amount to clear, the access, the labour and the disposal involved. I look at a few photos or make a short visit before I quote.
Why don't you price by the size of the house?
Because it depends on what is in the house, not how big it is. A four bed house could have only ten items to clear, and a smaller house could be completely full.

Do you charge extra for certain items?
A few, because they need special disposal: fridges and freezers, TVs and monitors, mattresses, upholstered sofas and chairs, and paint, oil or chemicals. I point them out before the job.
Can the price come down?
Yes. Good things that can be reused or passed on can lower your quote. If I find any, I tell you.
When and how do I pay?
On the day of the clearance, unless we have agreed something else. Bank transfer, cash or online.
